I’ve lived to see both sides of the coin
Some people I know don’t care if they live or die
We’ve had our share of these trying times
So tonight we’re gonna leave them behind
Oh yeah we’re gonna leave them behind
A testament to a new generation
Under the streetlight a weekly revelation
Mankind succumbs to the realms of temptation
Tonight we’re gonna leave them behind
Oh yeah we’re gonna leave them behind
Some things yeah they never change and I just can’t seem to work out why
Surround myself with people that I know will support me till the day that I die
Some things yeah they never change
I just can’t seem to work out why
And I just don’t know why
One thing I find very strange is the doubt that eats me up inside
When my friends and family show me nothing but their love and pride
One thing I find very strange is the doubt that eats me up inside
And I just don’t know why

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
